Broadway star Lea Salonga got mistakenly identified as environmentalist Anna Hughes.
Fresh from the recently concluded Blind auditions of the upcoming season of The Voice Kids, Lea Salonga flew to the London two days ahead of her first-ever headline concert tour in the UK.
Before she kickstarted her series of shows, the Broadway and West End royalty first dropped by Sky News, a British news organization, for a sit-down interview.
While the rest of the interview went well, news presenter Stephen Dixon, mistakenly identified Lea Salonga on the show as environmentalist Anna Hughes when he introduced her on his show called Sunrise.
Dixon, acknowledging his mistake, said: "I was gonna say: Why does Princess Jasmine not wanna fly for a year?"
The show then went on a break after the incident. But as soon as the show returned, Dixon made it up to the Salonga by praising her for her successes in life.
"Lea Salonga is just renowned. You are phenomenal in Miss Saigon. You've also been two Disney princesses including Princess Jasmine," he stated.
The theater legend, who handled the awkward interview introduction with class, shrugged off the honest mistake instead and said: "We are laughing very much."
