Hence, it’s surprising to learn that Shy has been a longtime fan of Jake, a transgender man, even then when he was still identifying as Charice Pempengco. “She started as a fan and I only met her in one of my shows,” he said. Later, he would find that they fit the “opposites attract” narrative. “She is the outgoing type of person and I describe myself as an introvert. [Nonetheless,] we both have learned to walk in each other’s shoes and manage to be the best versions of ourselves.”</p><p>Previously, Jake shared that it was Shyre’s unwavering dedication to their relationship that urged him to commit at last. “It was how we handled the bad times. Doon ko na-realize, 'I'm going to keep this person.'
