Judy Ann Santos’s kids Yohan, Lucho, and Luna have captured the hearts of netizens thanks in large part to their innate cuteness and loveable personalities.
According to the Queen of Teleseryes herself, seeing the way their children become who they are today makes her and husband Ryan Agoncillo two proud parents. And contrary to the idea that it’s different growing up in a family of showbiz royalties, the Prime Superstar said she and Ryan have done nothing special in raising all of them.
“Of course, we’re proud as parents, ano? But there’s nothing really naman special that we do in raising our children. It’s all them. To guide them with their choices, with whatever they want, to support them as much as we can. But we’re just here basically to make sure na mapapalaki naman sila ng maayos, ng may values and still enjoy what it is to be a child,” she said an exclusive interview with PUSH.
With several netizens dubbing Lucho as the next heartthrob in showbiz, the 41-year-old Kapamilya star said she isn’t thinking about it right now—especially with her son getting more and more focused on his love for football.
Answering the question while chuckling, she said: “Ayoko munang isipin kasi parang masyado pang maaga. Tsaka ngayon kasi sports-minded talaga si Lucho. He’s very disciplined when it comes to his trainings, when it comes to his sports. And that’s why we support him all the way. Kasi we see kung gaano siya talaga kaseryoso sa ginagawa niya.
Asked whether she would support her children should they decide to enter showbiz in the future, Santos said she won’t mind at all as long as they prioritize their education first.
“Well, yeah. As long as magtapos muna sila. ‘Yun naman ‘yung deal namin even with Yohan. You know, if time comes and they really want to enter showbiz, hindi naman namin sila mapipigilan eh. It’s inevitable. Pero they still have to study and finish their studies,” she stated.
Now that she’s set to make a big comeback on television through the upcoming Kapamilya serye Starla, Santos admitted that she put her trust with ABS-CBN above her feeling of anxiousness.
“Siyempre nandun pa rin ‘yung nerbyos. Nandun pa rin ‘yung tatawid ba. Pero you know, my trust is always with ABS. I trust them with every projects that they give me. Para sa akin, ‘pag binigay nila ang isang proyekto, naniniwala silang kaya ko siyang gampanan. That’s one,” she said.
She then went on: “Let’s say that I’m excited kasi part ako ng isang teleserye na puwedeng mapanood ng mga anak namin because it’s for kids, may values. And ako excited ako kasi parang feeling ko it’s about time to come out with a teleserye na pambata naman.”
Apart from Starla, Judy Ann Santos is slated to appear on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano soon.
Meanwhile, Starla will air on ABS-CBN soon.
