Check out these never-before-seen photos from Filipino-Italian actor Matteo Guidicelli’s 30-day Scout Ranger training.
Barely a week since graduating, Filipino-Italian actor Matteo Guidicelli released never-before-seen photos of his life as a scout ranger during his 30-day military training at Camp Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan, beginning last May.
Matteo, an Army reservist, finished the Scout Ranger Orientation and Leadership Development Course with PMA Class of 2021 on Thursday, where he received a commendation medal for his volunteerism in clean up drives and distribution of school supplies in schools in San Miguel Bulacan and being an inspiration to the youth.
He also received a special recognition, letter of commendation and scout ranger replica for being an outstanding student among 97 students in the class and obtaining the highest grade of 95.20%, said ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe.

During his graduation rites, where his family and girlfriend Sarah Geronimo came to support, Matteo said that he gained “so much respect” for the country and the soldiers after the training. “Kaya saludo ako sa inyo lahat mga sundalo at ‘yung mga pamilya at ‘yung mga asawa nila. Imagine niyo ‘yung mga sundalo nasa field sila ng 6 months, 1 year, 5 years,” he added.

Matteo signed up for the Army Reserve Command last April.
"Because I'm a Filipino and I love my country," he told ABS-CBN News when asked why he decided to join the army.
"I think this is another avenue na i-share ko 'yung sarili ko sa bansa ko... Kumbaga, makatulong ako sa bansa ko," he added.
Brig. Gen. Wilson Gonzales, commander of 1st Scout Ranger Regiment, later revealed that Matteo is the only Army Reservist who asked to be enlisted in the leadership development course.
Prior to joining the Army Reserve Command, Matteo was appointed as lieutenant commander of THE Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 408 squadron in March alongside celebrities Erwan Heussaff and Nico Bolzico.
