Still on cloud nine over her second Best Actress win this year, Kathryn Bernardo took to social media to extend her utmost gratitude to the Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards for Movies, or The Eddys.
The actress, who bagged the prestigious award for her role in "The Hows of Us" on Sunday, said on Monday that she's "incredibly honored and deeply thankful" for the unexpected win.
"I personally believe that trophies do not make an actress. It’s also not about the sales or how much a movie has earned," she said.
"It's about the many hearts that you're able to touch through your films. It's about making a fictional character come to life and having other people see themselves in her as well. It's about the literal sweat, blood, and tears that you pour into your role," she added.
For Kathryn, this is exactly what the award means to her - a symbolism of the many hearts she has touched as George Silva.
"I feel validated as an actress not because of this trophy, but because of what it symbolizes: people lining up in the cinemas to see the film we've worked so hard on, being able to touch so many hearts through it, and the continuous support and recognition that we've been receiving since," she said.
"Your endless love and support make everything worthwhile," she added.
