Maymay Entrata got lost around the Tsim Sha Tsui area in Hong Kong with her best friend Patricia Cañete.
In a video titled “Saving Maymay” uploaded on Star Cinema’s official Facebook page, Joross Gamboa and Jeffrey Tam opened the vlog showing one of their phones ringing as Maymay Entrata tried to contact them after she got lost in the shopping and nightlife district of Kowloon.
And since her Hello, Love, Goodbye co-stars happened to be just three train stations away from where she was, the two comedic actors readily responded to the Kapamilya teen actress’ cry for help.
“Nawawala raw si Maymay ngayon. So ang challenge namin ngayon, iligtas si Maymay,” Joross Gamboa said in the video.
As soon as the two actors saw Maymay Entrata at their meeting place, they asked the 22-year-old actress to explain how she ended up getting lost around the area.
"Kasi nga nawala kami po. Etong si Patricia sabi niya alam niya daw. Tapos pumunta kami dun, wala na," she said.
She then went on: “So ganito ang nangyari. Tumawag ako sa kanila, nanghingi ako ng tulong dahil nga hindi ko alam kung paano umuwi. Nandito na sila. Nagkita-kita na kami tawa-tawa kami.”
Maymay Entrata, who was eventually left behind by the two actors after she refused to give them money, jokingly said: “Tapos 'yun pala gusto lang nila ako makita dahil kailangan po nila ako dahil sa 200 na Hong Kong dollars. Dahil wala po akong naibigay, iniwan po nila ako.”
