Enchong Dee reveals his thoughts on politics, business, and starting his own school someday.
After recently going on a business trip to Switzerland earlier this year, Enchong Dee said he still has a lot to do with his latest venture. “The trip was good but at the same time I know I’m not yet at that level. I think I have to really work hard and put my laser focus on my businesses before I can actually create an account. But hindi man siya natuloy, may iba akong nakuha, which is good. I will make the announcement soon. But I’m happy that it’s not just earning money but it’s more on giving back. Because if I can give you some hint, it’s about education,” he shared during the Sun Life Kaakbay presscon last July 6 in Pasay City.
Although he won’t confirm what kind of school he plans to open, Enchong said it is definitely going to happen. “Yes I’m opening a school but I can’t tell what exactly. Sinasabi nila ang gulo gulo na ng bansa natin so be part of the solution so I’m just trying to do that on a personal level. So kung meron akong magagawa to empower our country, gawin natin,” he added.
During the event, the new Sun Life ambassador revealed he once considered a political career. “Gusto ko talaga siya. Gusto ko pumasok sa pulitika noon. I graduated Politics in La Salle. Pero sabi ko, parang mas marami akong magagawa na malinis kung wala ako sa pulitika. Ako pinagdadasal ko talaga na, ‘Lord, huwag mo sana ako dalhin dun.’ Kasi marami akong sinasabi, marami akong opinion. Basically ang gusto ko lang naman gusto ko umunlad yung bansa natin na lahat tayo umuunlad. Pero sabi ko baka masyado ako maging bitter kung puro salita lang gagawin ko. So I started diverting my attention to what solutions I can do, what solutions I can give. That’s why I also did the Handog Palangoy which is teaching kids basic swimming skills kasi at least nakaka-save ka ng buhay? So yung mga little things na ganyan,” he explained.
