Four-piece Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer or 5SOS composed of Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin, and Michael Clifford returned to the Philippines for an exclusive showcase at the New Frontier Theatre.
Out of thousands of entries in a contest requiring fans to stream their latest single "Easier," MCA Music Inc. picked only 300 lucky fans to watch the intimate show happening tonight.
But before the boys hit the stage tonight, they first went out for a ride around the Metro by hopping onto a jeepney.
"So we're in the Philippines. It's very hot. Apparently, it's how people get around here. It's called a jeepney and it looks pretty awesome. And it's pretty hot around here and we're going to ride around for a while. See what happens ridin' down the street on a jeepney," one of band members, Luke Hemmings, said.
Of course, Pinoy style, the boys experienced a flawed ride after the jeep broke down just 15 seconds after their adventure began.
“It’s been about 15 seconds since we started driving and I think the car just broke down,” Ashton Irwin said.
Meanwhile, another member, Michael Clifford, couldn't help but notice the Manila traffic, saying: “You’ll see about 400 cars piled up.”
