Celebrity couple Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla are having a baby girl.

The “It’s Showtime” host made the announcement in her first vlog entry on Sunday where she shared highlights and behind-the-scenes clips of their gender reveal party held at The Bellevue Manila in Muntinlupa City.

“The best part is even si Robin, hindi niya alam [‘yung gender ng baby],” revealed Mariel in the first few minutes of the vlog. “As in this is the biggest secret that I’ve kept from him, and I tell him everything. Ito ‘yung talagang sinecret ko. There were times na madudulas na ako pero ginalingan ko talaga na i-surprise siya sa gender ng aming baby number two.”

Moments before the gender reveal, Robin said that he’s guessing a girl based on Mariel’s glow.

“Naguguluhan lang ako,” he added. “Minsan hindi ko mabasa kasi ‘yung paglilihi naman ni Mariel ngayon, matindi. Minsan, iniisip ko, baka lalaki ‘to. ‘Yung paglilihi niya ngayon, iba eh. Pati ako nadadamay.”

“Gusto ko ‘yung anak ko makatulong doon sa tradisyon ng pamilya na makatulong doon sa less fortunate,” he said.

He also thanked Mariel for her unconditional love as his wife and mother of his two children.

Last night I revealed the gender of Baby Surprise to my family, closest friends and husband. It was one of the most memorable parties... so grand but so intimate at the same time. Thankful that my husband came home from Europe to witness the reveal. Big big thanks to the God fearing couple Jeymee and Raffy of @onetreesouth for throwing this party for us. @bellevuemanila from accommodations (presidential suite), ballroom, service and food everything was excellent. Last night I revealed the gender of Baby Surprise to my family, closest friends and husband. It was one of the most memorable parties... so grand but so intimate at the same time. Thankful that my husband came home from Europe to witness the reveal. Last night I revealed the gender of Baby Surprise to my family, closest friends and husband. It was one of the most memorable parties... so grand but so intimate at the same time. Thankful that my husband came home from Europe to witness the reveal. Big big thanks to the God fearing couple Jeymee and Raffy of @onetreesouth for throwing this party for us. @bellevuemanila from accommodations (presidential suite), ballroom, service and food everything was excellent. The grand ballroom was breathtakingly beautiful thanks to Gary Dacanay @gary_mindworks my gown by @jotlosa make up by @jellyeugenio hair by @charliemanapat these lovely photos by @happyfolks_mnl And later at 9pm on my Youtube channel (Mariel Padilla on YouTube) i will share it with all of you. But according to the seasoned actor, whether it’s a girl or a boy doesn’t matter as long as the child grows up to be kind and compassionate.

“Gusto ko ‘yung anak ko makatulong doon sa tradisyon ng pamilya na makatulong doon sa less fortunate,” he said.

He also thanked Mariel for her unconditional love as his wife and mother of his two children.
