Two weeks after kicking off its shooting, director Antoinette Jadaone took to social media to share the first look at her upcoming movie, “Fan Girl”.
Through Instagram on Sunday, the award-winning filmmaker teased her fans and followers with a sneak peek of the mystery girl who will star opposite actor Paulo Avelino in the film.
“When the cinematography (by Neil Daza) and production design (by Ferdi Abuel) inspire,” she said.
“And no, this [isn’t] a romantic comedy,” she added.
Antoinette, after opening a casting call for the lead role in February, is set to introduce a new face in “Fan Girl” to play the role of an "obsessed teenage fan" who finds herself in a mansion with her celebrity idol she thought she knew and "learns exactly why they say never meet your heroes."
Produced by Project 8 corner San Joaquin and Black Sheep, in partnership with Epic Media and Globe Studios, the film had been selected for the 2018 Asian Project Market as the only Filipino film to be part of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) that same year.
No target release date has been announced as of writing.
