Alan Menken, the composer of Aladdin’s theme song “A Whole New World”, gave a message to Darren Espanto after he failed to join Morisette Amon in a meeting in the US.
Darren Espanto took to Instagram to express his joy and awe after Alan Menken, composer and producer of the song “A Whole New World”, gave a special message for him.
“Hi Darren! It’s such a shame that we weren’t able to meet. I heard your rendition of ‘A Whole New World’ with Morissette [Amon] and you guys did such an amazing job! I was hoping we could get to meet in the near future. All the best!” the award-winning composer said.
Darren and Morissette worked together on a localized version of the animation-turned-live action film’s most successful song, ‘A Whole New World’.
The 18-year-old singer couldn’t help but rave about the message on social media.
“My jaw dropped. Here’s a message I got from Sir Alan Menken; the original composer and producer of ‘A Whole New World’! Thank you so much for the kind words, Sir! Hope to meet you soon!” he said.
