Gerphil Flores finishes a degree at the University of British Columbia

<p>Gerphil Flores has once again amazed her Filipino supporters not just with her singing prowess but also with her perseverance and intelligence.</p><p>After finishing a degree in Music at the University of the Philippines Diliman with honors, she applied for an Art History degree in her dream school, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.</p><p><a href='https://push.abs-cbn.com/2016/6/25/fresh-scoops/gerphil-flores-graduates-with-honors-from-the-univ-94932'><u>Read: Gerphil Flores graduates with honors from the University of the Philippines</u></a></p><p>The Filipina singer happily shared her graduation photo and gave her online followers an inspiring message about continuing to learn.</p><p>“If there is one thing I learned in life that I will never get tired of sharing with others is that you should never stop learning. Learn more, discover more,” she wrote.</p><p>She then shared how she thought of applying to UBC, which is one of the top schools in Canada.</p><p>“After completing my bachelor's degree in Music in 2016 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, I decided to study again. This time, I wanted to have a bigger view of what Art History (music, painting, sculpture, architecture, photography etc) is all about. I applied at my dream school, The University of British Columbia and luckily...I got accepted.”</p><p>Even after being away to her home country for two years, Gerphil felt happy for it “led me to see the world of Art as if I was riding a magical carpet where it took me on a whole new journey.”</p><p>She then said that what she loved about her stay at the university was diversity.</p><p>“People from different cultures meet in this place.
