Jane Oineza alerts fans after social media accounts get hacked

22-year-old actress Jane Oineza said that both of her accounts on Instagram and Facebook were inaccessible after an unknown intruder got hold of her username and password.

Jane Oineza took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce that her social media accounts were hacked. 

The 22-year-old actress said that both of her accounts on Instagram and Facebook were inaccessible after an unknown intruder somehow got hold of her username and password.

She also revealed that the unidentified hacker changed her e-mail, password, and phone number information on both accounts. 

"They changed my e-mail and now I can't open it. Send help," she wrote.

"Ito 'yung e-mail nung nag-hack," she captioned to a screenshot of the new e-mail. "Kaya 'di ko ma-retrieve 'yung account ko kasi pinalitan na niya e-mail, password, and phone number ko. Pati sa Facebook!" 

Jane said that she didn't receive any notification from both social media apps like usual. Despite the distressing situation, however, many fans and followers were quick to offer suggestions on how to retrieve her profiles.

The Kapamilya star, who topbills Regal Entertainment's film offering "Finding You" opposite Jerome Ponce, has yet to give an update on the incident as of writing. 

In late of May, local rock band Parokya Ni Edgar had a similar experience that courted much attention from both the media and the public. This after an unknown hacker had access to their official Facebook page and removed all of the band members as administrators before posting sexually explicit videos on their profile. 

The group's frontman Chito Miranda had likewise taken to social media to alert as well as ask for suggestions from fans and followers. 

"Hassle!!! Na-hack yung Official FB Page ng Parokya. Tapos tinaggal kami lahat nung hacker bilang admins. 'Wag nyo daw click yung links sabi ni Dindin kasi malamang virus daw," he said in a Facebook post.

"We are currently working on getting it back," he added.
