Former sexy star Maui Taylor took to social media to mourn the death of her father after passing away this Sunday, June 30.

It remains unclear as to what the cause of his death was, but in a letter she wrote on Instagram, Maui mentioned that her dad, Ricardo Taylor, a landscape artist, had just undergone a heart bypass surgery before surrendering.

“You were okay, you even smiled for me in this photo despite the pain & stress you were going through. We were just waiting for the big day tomorrow & we were gonna bring you home and let everything go back to normal,” she said.

“We even planned on bringing you to your fave place as soon as you recovered from bypass... I didn’t know this was gonna be the last photo of us together. Pinag-birthday mo lang ako then you just left. I love you so much Dad. I will miss you. I will always be your baby girl,” she added.

The 35-year-old actress said she's grateful to those who had offered prayers and support throughout such trying time.
