Director Cathy Garcia-Molina says she would like 'Hello, Love, Goodbye' to be at par with international films.
After wrapping up the shooting for Star Cinema's upcoming movie Hello, Love, Goodbye in Hong Kong, director Cathy Garcia-Molina flew to Thailand to start the post-production stage of the movie.
In an exclusive interview with Star Cinema, the director shared that she will be working with Thailand-based company Kantana Group, to further elevate the quality of the upcoming film. It is the same company which was involved in the post-production process of hit movies like Bad Genius, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Superman Returns, among others.
"Ang pelikulang ito ay susubukan nang lumevel sa standards ng international [scene], sabi nila globalization, para kumbaga matuto kami kung paano gumawa ng pelikula sa ibang bansa, titingnan natin ang difference kung ano pa ang pwede i-improve, ano pa ang pwede pagandahin sa audio at video quality," she stated.
What made them decide to collaborate with the said team?
“Knowing that this group is good, so kilala sila na pinupuntahan ng kahit ibang nationality so [we tried to work with them]. Una, afford natin, pangalawa, mas malapit, pangatlo, they are really good at what they do. So, we are here to learn and hopefully to improve and share it to the rest of the Philippine movie making. Sana maka-level talaga tayo doon," she shared.
Direk Cathy also relayed that they finished shooting Hello, Love, Goodbye, earlier than expected.
"First time sa buong buhay ko nang paggawa ng pelikula na natapos ako more than a month before the showing, in fact almost two months before the showing, to give way to proper post-production time," she stated.
