Life goes on for beauty queen Vickie Rushton as she returns to working following her controversial stint in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant this year.

Through Joey Reyes, it was revealed on Thursday that the 27-year-old Bacolod native has met with the said 'Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo' and 'Till My Heartaches End' director, along with producer and screenwriter Rose Monteverde, to discuss future projects at a private meeting held at Club Filipino in San Juan.

"Meeting with Vicky Rushton for big plans ahead!," captioned the filmmaker in a group photo he shared on Instagram.

For her second gig in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, Vickie has yet again failed to snag the Miss Universe Philippines crown despite being a crowd favorite. She had won majority of the special awards - namely, Miss Cream Silk, Bb. Poten Cee Gandang Palaban 2019, Jag Denim Queen 2019, Manila Bulletin Reader's Choice Award, Miss Ever Bilena, Miss World Balance 2019 - but was ultimately bested by Gazina Ganados of Talisay City, Cebu.

During the coronation night held last June 9, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate had been the talk of the town after failing to answer the question, "Why is mental health as important as physical health?", in the Q&A portion of the pageant. In an interview with PUSH and ABS-CBN News, Vickie admitted that she herself had great regrets about her performance.

Life is the biggest classroom and experience is the greatest teacher. My experiences in the recently concluded Bb. Pilipinas pageant has taught me a lot of lessons - lessons which will guide me as i continue to embark in my life’s journey. These experiences will help me find more options to reach my life goal. To all those who supported me, prayed for me, joined me in my journey, thank you is not enough to express my gratitude for your unconditional support and love. I treasure the moments i shared with my fellow Binibinis who, like me, shared a common dream of getting a crown. In them, I found a family. We worked together, laughed together, and at times cried together. I am sincerely happy to the crown holders and commiserate with those who did not. I have a lot to thank - the BPCI for the opportunity to compete again and to our mentors for guiding us. To all those who believed in me despite my imperfections and to my detractors, thank you so much. Your comments and reactions were noted. I can use some of them to perfect my imperfect self. Thank you also to those who continue to defend me. Let us put to rest the issue and we can move on from here. We can be friends even if we had differences. Let’s consider how to uplift one another, support, encourage and pray for each other. . “In a world full of hate, be love.” Be kind. ♥️

Last year, Vickie similarly vied for the crown in the national pageant, but only went as far as winning 1st runner-up to the now Miss Universe 2019 Catriona Gray as the titleholder of Miss Universe Philippines.

Prior to this, she was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas and Lin-ay sang Negros in 2011 and 2009, respectively.
