John Arcilla mourns for Buboy, the dog that became known for being loyal to his late master.
John Arcilla was one of those who mourned for the loss of Buboy, the dog dubbed as the “Pinoy Hachiko.”
The dog was run over by a vehicle and was already lifeless when the caretakers went to check on him.

“This is deeply heartbreaking. I am sorry for an early emotional morning, but I really mourn for such a loving dog,” he said upon learning the sad news.
“We strongly urge all motorists to hit the #BrakeForAnimals. Run free #Buboy. Gone too soon. Every animal-loving Filipino mourns today,” he added.
The seasoned actor also said that he had plans of adopting the dog.
“I was even planning to visit and adopt him, but some students in messenger told me after his master died, hindi daw muna pinalalabas si Buboy, bawal daw muna ang dalaw,” he said.
“They said Buboy has a real owner. Then I let go, and just planned to pass by in their school some other time to give him some gift or treats instead, and then this... This is so heartbreaking,” he added.
In a separate post, he shared Buboy’s photos with the late professor Marcelo, which was the reason the dog became viral.
“I cry for Buboy and for all the UNPROTECTED LIFE from the hands of UNCARING HUMANS,” he wrote.
According to reports, Buboy went out of the school grounds after following a guard and then got hit by a vehicle which sped away.
