Ylona Garcia is excited to head back to L.A to work on a new music project.
After having recently come back from the States from a short vacation, Ylona Garcia said she is looking forward to heading back to Los Angeles again soon for exciting new projects. “Basically, after going there for a week, I had to go back there for almost a month and I’m going back again. I’m going to be in and out coming from L.A. Nonstop work,” she told PUSH.
After posting a photo of herself with R&B singer Ne-Yo last April, netizens started speculating that Ylona might be collaborating with the American singer soon. Although the 17-year-old artist has not yet shared any details about it, she does admit she has been blessed with an exciting new opportunity. “First I was supposed to go for my birthday but now I’ve been noticed by a few people, producers that worked with Nick Cannon and Ne-Yo, all these people that have made it huge in the industry. Ne-Yo was really sweet. That’s all I can say. He’s so sweet. (laughs),” she said.
After being hospitalized last December due to stress, the Australia-born singer admits she can only get better and better with her career this year. “I’m glad that people are rooting for me because I’m not just doing this for myself but I’m doing this to show the whole world that the Philippines is what they’re missing out on, you know what I mean? We’ve got a whole country full of talent. Let’s just say the path that I was going down on, I knew I was meant for it. I knew that even when people started to hate on me and hate the decisions I’ve made, I knew that something was meant to be. It was meant to be. Something good would come out of it,” she shared.
With her sights set on international shores this year, Ylona said she will take on every opportunity there is, including a chance at trying it out at Hollywood. “I’m open to anything but I also have a vision of my own on what I want people to see, what I want people to see me as, and who I want to be as a person. I’m open-minded to everything. Let’s just say I’m going to be focusing on more work everywhere,” she added.
