Korina Sanchez has started the preparations for the christening of her twin babies Pepe and Pilar in the Philippines.

On Instagram, the news anchor shared a sneak peek of the toddlers’ baptism outfits that she had designed with Amir Sali, the same Filipino fashion designer who created her wedding gown about 10 years ago.

“Amir Sali did the beading and laces of my wedding gown 10 years ago. I just thought it's fit for him to do the baptismal clothes of my children,” she said.

“I got very simple cotton gowns for the twins in Pittsburgh, mainly because there we rent anything special available off the rack. Apparently, hindi gano’n karami ang mahilig sa special celebration ng binyag? Wala akong mahanap. Not even in New York. Dito sa Pilipinas, pinapagawa. So I'm bringing the gowns to Amir for him to dress the gowns up just a bit. And ito naman yung pagkatapos ng ceremony, para hindi masyadong mainit. Cotton lang din ito with a few frills,” she added.

Ahead of their baptism, Pepe and Pilar were “blessed” by an American parish priest at their home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in late of March. A photo of the intimate occasion was uploaded on Korina’s Instagram account, where she was quoted as saying, “Didn’t want to wait on the baptism in the Philippines so had a blessing ahead.”

Korina and her husband, Mar Roxas, welcomed their twins – who were born via gestational surrogacy in the United States – in February, nine years since they tied the knot in a church wedding ceremony.
