The 'Between Maybes' star shares one more item on his bucket list this year.
After traveling to Japan earlier this year to shoot his latest film Between Maybes with Julia Barretto, Gerald Anderson shared he only has nice things to say about the prefecture of Saga where they shot all of the film’s scenes.
“I had a great experience nung nag-shoot kami ng movie dun because kung saan kami nag-shoot very quiet and masarap yung pagkain and maganda yung kultura. It’s the culture, everyone was friendly, nagtutulungan, malinis yung lugar talaga,” he said during the Lights, Camera, Action celebrity screening event held last May 26 inside ABS-CBN.
Another reason why Gerald stated he wouldn’t mind visiting Japan again was because of the variety and quality of the food available.
“Well number one reason talaga yung food. Masarap yung Saga beef, sa Saga kasi kami nag-shooting eh. Pati sushi, sashimi, lahat yan kinakain ko. Lahat kinakain ko (laughs),” he revealed.
Aside from Saga, Gerald shared he also got to do a day trip to another beautiful city nearby.
“Fukouka was nice. Kasi maliit yung Saga so we had one day and pumunta kami sa Fukouka na medyo big city so it was a different environment,” he added.
After seeing Japan, the actor is hoping to visit another new country where he can fulfill another item on his bucket list.
“Gusto ko pa mag dive with the great white (sharks) na hindi ko pa nagagawa. Nakapag-dive ako with sharks but with great whites hindi pa. Wala lang time. Naghahanap ako ng great whites. Ibang experience din yan. ,” he said.
Currently, Gerald is preparing for his upcoming TV series.
“May soap ako ipapalabas very soon at tini-tape namin ngayon. It’s something very physical and very dramatic and it’s about family, it’s about friendship, and it’s about brotherhood,” he remarked.
