“It’s no longer I ‘think’ I am brave, but today, I KNOW I AM.”

This was the bold statement of Moira dela Torre as she talked about her personal struggles at length for the first time.

In a heartwarming caption she penned on Instagram on Wednesday night, the 25-year-old singer took a moment to appreciate herself for bouncing back and coming out stronger from what had been the toughest season of her life.

“In the last few years of adjusting to new norms, of trying to figure out life and trying to filter the thoughts I’ve let in; I have come to the realization that failing and getting hurt comes with being human and also, with trying to be courageous. This season has been, by far, the most challenging season I’ve ever had. But it's also because of this season that I’m confident in the courage I got out of it. It's no longer I ‘think’ I am brave, but today, I KNOW I AM. I know who I am. Still very, very far from perfect, but trying to be a good person, forever carried by God's mercy & grace,” she said.

In the last few years of adjusting to new norms, of trying to figure out life and trying to filter the thoughts i've let in; I have come to the realization that failing and getting hurt comes with being human and also, with trying to be courageous. This season has been, by far, the most challenging season i've ever had. But it's also because of this season that i'm confident in the courage i got out of it. It's no longer i "think" i am brave, but today, I KNOW I AM. I know who I am. Still very very far from perfect, but trying to be a good person, forever carried by God's mercy & grace. I'm in the beginning of many many beginnings. I'll always be a work in progress. There's so much to improve, so much growth to grasp, still so many things to learn and unlearn-- one of which is learning that i can celebrate who I am now while aspiring for who I still want to be. I didn't think it was possible to do both at the same time but it is. As a result, I never felt good enough to be anywhere. So today, I've learned to appreciate myself even while growing. Even while waiting. Even when failing. And moreso when rising.🙂 It took awhile to get here, and it took awhile for me to stop worrying and to appreciate the distance I've run and the blessings that are already right in front of me. ☺️ So today, I wanna thank all of my listeners for allowing me to be a part of your lives. My favorite accomplishment by far is the privilege of being your friend through my music and knowing that the songs I write help make you a little less lonely and a little more understood. 🙂 Thank you. Because of you, all 400million plays of you (Thank you @spotifyasia still can't get over it 😭), I get to work with talented artists like @decemberavenue and @iamjohnprats, I get to stand on a @myxph stage and receive awards I never thought I'd receive and now have a seat in helping make dreams come true on @idolphilippines.💙 From the bottom of my heart, thank you for letting me be your friend. It's been such a great adventure and i know it will only get better. These awards, these are for you. May it prove to you that nothing is impossible. Cheering for you, my friend. See you in the next season. ❄️

Such realization was prompted by her victory in the recently held MYX Music Awards, where she took home awards for Collaboration of the Year with December Avenue and Mellow Video of the Year. For this, Moira could not be more grateful to all her avid fans and followers.

“So today, I wanna thank all of my listeners for allowing me to be a part of your lives. Because of you, all 400million plays of you (Thank you Spotify Asia still can't get over it), I get to work with talented artists like December Avenue and John Prats (director of her “Tagpuan” music video), I get to stand on a MYX Philippines stage and receive awards,” she said.

The “Titibo-Tibo” hitmaker also acknowledged her gig as one of the judges in popular singing competition “Idol Philippines”.

“I never thought I'd receive and now have a seat in helping make dreams come true on Idol Philippines. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for letting me be your friend. It's been such a great adventure and I know it will only get better. These awards, these are for you. May it prove to you that nothing is possible. Cheering for you, my friend.
