Having become a global phenomenon, BTS won as the Top Social Artist for this year's Billboard Music Awards - the K-Pop group's third consecutive win in the same category since 2017. Plus, they also won the #BBMAs Top Duo/Group for this year.

BTS beat artists fellow nominees such as GOT7, EXO, Ariana Grande, and Louis Tomlinson for the Top Social Artist award, the only fan-based category which allows fans to vote for their favorite artists.

Meanwhile, the K-Pop group also won the Top Duo/Group award besting American artists namely Dan and Shay, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, and Panic! At The Disco.

Clearly, ARMYs around the globe converged to show full support for the K-Pop group.

It was in 2017 when BTS became the first South Korean group to win a Billboard Music Award after the K-Pop group won the Top Social Artist Award that same year.

Justin Bieber is the most awarded Top Social Artist with six trophies under his belt.

As of this writing, the Billboard Music Awards 2019 is currently happening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada where BTS is expected to perform "Boy with Luv" alongside Halsey.
