With a lot of blessings coming his way this year, Marco Gumabao admitted he rarely has time to go out anymore. “Ang buhay ko ngayon is work, gym, bahay. Hindi na ako lumalabas masyado. Ipapahinga ko na lang. Pero minsan siyempre, pag nakalibre, ganun. Kasi napagdaanan ko na rin siya. When I was younger, mahilig akong lumabas, not necessarily na laging umiinom. Basta gusto ko lagi nakakasama yung mga kaibigan ko. So I think that phase of my life is done. So ngayon focused na ako sa trabaho ko and i-fo-focus ko yung health ko muna. First of all, I need to be healthy for work and if may free time sige lalabas ako. Pero if not, sa bahay na lang ako. Magpapahinga na lang ako. Trying to be medyo good boy,” he said.

With a lot of celebrities coming out to admit that they have gone through a period of depression, Marco said he is actually lucky not to have experienced anything close to that. “Honestly never pa. Hindi pa ako nakaka-experience ng depression. that’s why I don’t get it. But I respect people who have it. I’m thankful na walang kahit anong depression na thought na pumasok sa isip ko. Pero I also sympathize with people who are going through depression because it’s really hard. It’s a battle between you and yourself,” he explained.

The 24-year-old actor offered some advice to those who are going through a difficult time in their lives right now. “Basta ang message ko sa mga tao who are depressed or who are thinking about ending it, maraming tao ang nag-iisip niyan. Just go to God. Ako siguro ang nakatulong ng malaki sa pagkatao ko is going to church, reading the bible or reading anything about God everyday. Yun yung isa sa mga bagay na I try to live with it everyday. If you feel sad, listen to praise and worship songs. Everyday ako nakikinig sa praise and worship songs. Parang I find myself at peace with it. Ang pinaka-favorite kong worship song is titled ‘Breathe.’ So hinga. Pakinggan niyo. It’s the best. You guys will find peace just with listening to the song,” he said.
