Joem Bascon shares his thoughts on making a grand proposal.
After starring in the Sinag Maynila film entry Pailalim last month, Joem Bascon said he has no complaints having no long vacation breaks. He said he is lucky to always being blessed with projects. “Just hard work. I still audition. I go to look-tests. I go to auditions. Hindi ko alam. Every time naman I’m very blessed with work and I’m just happy na kinukuha nila ako palagi. Baka dahil kaya ko mag-change ng character from time to time and flexible kasi yung schedule ko. Kasi siyempre kahit makuha ka nila pero hindi flexible yung schedule mo, hindi mo rin talaga magagawa,” he told PUSH.
Joem said he and longtime girlfriend Crisha Uy have worked hard on their eight-year relationship. “Siyempre may kanya-kanyang sikreto yung mga couples. I think ano lang, hindi ko alam, dahil adventurous kaming dalawa? We try different things na magkasama. We do stuff together. Hindi ko alam kung magiging bonus na lang sa akin yung lagi akong may work, lagi din siya may work. So parang pag nagsa-sama kami, talagang sobrang miss namin yung isa’t isa. So hindi kami yung nagkakasawaan. Kasi usually ‘pag everyday we have responsibilities and things to do, kaya pag nagsasama kami yan magkukulitan na kami. Yun lang,” he shared.
Now that Crisha has finally met his family abroad, Joem said it won’t be long before they start making plans to walk down the aisle. “I’m happy nakilala nila. Wala na, puwede na kami magpakasal. Nag-iipon na. Konti na lang. I’m hoping na sa lahat ng mga films na ginagawa ko ay makaipon ako (laughs),” he said. With most celebrities planning surprise proposals on a grand scale, Joem said he still has no idea what he wants to do. “I don’t know. Hindi ko pa masasabi kung may grand proposal. Basta may proposal. Hindi ko lang alam kung papaano ko gagawin (laughs),” he admitted.
