Breakthrough artist Jayda Avanzado explains why she's not unfazed by rivalry in show business.
Breakthrough artist Jayda Avanzado wasn't afraid to talk about the death threats she had been receiving from hardcore fans during her solo interview on late night talk show Tonight With Boy Abunda last Monday, April 29.
In early March, singer Jessa Zaragoza courted headlines after calling out bashers of her daughter regarding the threats she had read about Jayda on Twitter. Her husband, Dingdong Avanzado, had similarly reacted to the issue.

Talking to TV host Boy Abunda, Jayda revealed that she has since reached out to the authorities regarding the cyber-bullying incident.
"It was really crossing a line, I feel, Tito Boy, kasi hindi na po 'to a matter of opinion. This is about life and death. My first thought was I was concerned about my safety," she said.
The said controversy involved young fans who wanted to pit her against former ASAP G co-member Ylona Garcia. However, the rivalry in itself wasn't a cause for concern for Jayda, she said, as competitions are perpetually a part of showbiz.
"Hindi naman po sa napipikon. I feel like it's normal. [It's] fair game, rivalry is a part of show business," she said.
Jayda was on Tonight With Boy Abunda to promote her new single “Crazy About” featuring Indonesian artist Renn Miko.
