The Company is set to release a new single written by the recently awarded National Artist for Music, Ryan Cayabyab.
The legendary vocal group, The Company is finally back in the music scene as they signed a new contract with Star Music PH last April 4.
The iconic group, composed of Moy Montiz, Annie Quintos, Sweet Plantado and OJ Mariano, also announced their upcoming EP under the label in May.
"We are going to record new and original music. For now we're going to take a pause with revivals and covers. We haven't done a completely new all-OPM album since 2001. But of course we release albums every year at that time," Moy told the press.
According to Moy, part of their comeback single is a collaboration with the newly-awarded National Artist for Music, Ryan Cayabyab.
"Before our 35th anniversary next year, there is an EP that will be released with beautiful and progressive collaboration. We asked a song from Ryan, and no arte, no issues, no diva attitude, he lovingly wrote a song for The Company, and that's coming out in May," said Moy.
With their 28th album to be released this year, The Company is also set to have a concert on June 7 at the Music Museum.
The Company started making music in 1985 with some of their famous singles Everlasting Love, Muntik na Kitang Minahal, and Now That I Found You.
