After Darna exit, Liza Soberano to do a teleserye and film with Enrique Gil

Following her withdrawal from the ‘Darna’ project, Liza Soberano will be doing a new teleserye and film with onscreen partner and real-life boyfriend Enrique Gil, ABS-CBN News journalist MJ Felipe reported on Twitter last Saturday morning, April 6.

Two days before this announcement, the young actress set off a social media storm after officially backing out from the millennial reboot of the iconic superheroine film, citing medical reasons, particularly a finger injury that would hinder her from doing certain stunts required of the character.
