When asked if she would accept the role again, this is Angel’s answer.
After Liza Soberano withdrew from Star Cinema's Darna movie, Angel Locsin shared that she reached out to the actress to console her.
Naramdaman ko kung gaano siya ka-devastated sa nangyari," Angel said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Angel remarked that she could fully understand what Liza feels at the moment. Nag-alala ako sa kaniya, sana okay lang siya," she said.
The Kapamilya star said that she believes that there are still a number of opportunities for Liza even after she bid goodbye to playing Darna.
Now that Star Cinema is again in search for the next Darna, there are netizens who commented that the role needs to be given back to Angel.
Asked if she would want to accept the role again, Angel replied, "Of course masaya ako sa pagmamahal na binigay nila, pero no."
It was in 2015 when Angel decided to back out from doing the role because of a spine injury.
