Ever the supportive boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson arranged a block screening for Bea Alonzo’s newest film ‘Eerie’ exactly one week since it made its theatrical release locally.
Photos from Star Magic, the couple’s management agency, on Wednesday, April 3, showed Gerald and Bea in a rare joint appearance onstage to give a thank-you speech for everyone who has shown support for the movie.
A Facebook post from Star Cinema hours prior revealed that Direk Lauren Dyogi had his share on the block screening as well.
A film by Birdshot director Mikhail Red, Eerie marks Bea’s first-ever horror flick as Pat Consolacion, a clairvoyant and committed guidance counselor in a Catholic school for girls who is faced with the unsolved mystery of a former student’s death. Determined to seek answers, she will soon butt heads with Mother Superior Sor Alice (played by Charo Santos-Concio), the stern school headmistress who is dead set on preserving the school’s pristine reputation rather than the safety of their students.
Eerie, apart from showbiz heavyweights Bea and Charo, features other actors such as Jake Cuenca and Maxene Magalona. As of Tuesday, April 2, the film is reported to have earned P75,252,077.76 million since it first hit cinemas nationwide last March 27.
