Yam Concepcion has admitted to regretting having done sexy roles early on in her acting career.
Prior to drawing applause as Jade Bartolome in the hit primetime series ‘Halik’, for which she has earned numerous accolades from prestigious award-giving bodies, the 28-year-old actress was well known for her daring films, the most popular being Erik Matti’s ‘Rigodon’ back in 2012.
“You know what, Tito Boy, this has always been an issue sa akin,” told Yam in her interview on late night talk show ‘Tonight With Boy Abunda’ on Monday.
“Doon ako nanggaling – of course, dapat hindi mo rin kalimutan kung saan ka rin nanggaling. But, I don’t get it kung anong gusto niyong patunayan, kung anong gusto niyong maramdaman ko,” she added.
This statement might be pertaining to an incident earlier this month involving a netizen whom Yam unabashedly called out for sharing stills of her intimate scenes with actor John James Uy in ‘Rigodon’ through Twitter.
Ano ba gusto niyo patunayan?

“That is why I’m working hard also to prove that that’s not only what I can do,” she continued.
“Everything happens for a reason. I guess that’s part of my journey. [But] I’ll be honest with you. Kung alam ko lang, Tito Boy, hindi ko na ginawa,” she added.
Yam was in ‘Tonight With Boy Abunda’ to promote the highly anticipated finale of ‘Halik’ this Friday night, April 26.
