As one of the most fashion forward celebrities in the country, Nadine Lustre admitted she gets style inspiration from more than just one fashion icon. “I don’t know. Now I have a lot. Before I would always say Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid. I have a lot now eh. I like Donatella also now because of Versace the show on Netflix. I like getting inspirations also from drag queens because they’re very fashionable and they’re very brave when they dress up. They’re fearless and it’s fun when they dress up. So I don’t know, I have a lot (of inspirations talaga. If I enumerate them baka umabot hanggang tomorrow (laughs),” she shared.
Even though Nadine can rock any kind of look, she said she draws the line at some retro styles. “I love retro. I love anything that’s old school. I love listening to old school music. I love vintage art and all that kind of stuff. So I’m really into it. But I wouldn’t say I’d wear shoulder pads because shoulder pads don’t look good on me (laughs). I don’t know. Kasi now when I dress up kasi, it’s always just the ‘90s. Because I’m a ‘90s baby and I love anything that’s from then, the music, everything. But I guess I would love to see yung mga pearls, I think that’s from the ‘50s, basta way, way back and I would love to see women wearing mga pearl necklaces again because it’s kind of out na. I would love to see that back,” she shared.
As the current Skechers celebrity ambassador, Nadine said the brand is really a perfect fit for her. “Well I’m a big fan of bulky shoes so yung Dlites talaga is really my style and the thing about it is Skechers just released the Dlites 3.0 and it’s very fashionable and has a lot of different styles, different colors. I’m always wearing my Dlites to rehearsals or even if I want to just to chill with my friends going out. Kasi sometimes when I go out I still want to be fashionable. I like dressing up. There are sneakers kasi na when you wear it, it looks not fashionable. And I always wear it with the big pants. I love wearing wide leg pants talaga so that will always be my forever staple pants,” she said
