Teddy Corpuz hopes his fellow ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts will support his movie ‘Papa Pogi’

As he stars in the upcoming Regal Films comedy Papa Pogi which opens nationwide on March 20, Teddy Corpuz admitted he has high hopes his It’s Showtime co-hosts can also support his movie. So puwede namang ganun di ba? Wala pang venue, baka sa Tuguegarao (laughs),”” he said during the Papa Pogi grand presscom held last March 7.

The Rocksteddy vocalist and actor said he really hopes his showbiz friends can return the favor of gracing his premiere night just as he did for them in the past. “Oo siyempre kasi parang first movie ko tapos kumbaga magkakapatid kaming lahat. Parang, ‘Uy, magkakapatid tayong lahat dito. Sinuportahan ko kayo nung dati ah.’ Hindi man ganun kalaki yung market ko or yung pull ko sa social media pero sumoporta ako, nandun ako premiere night, red carpet, nanuod pa ako isang beses ulit,” he said.

Teddy jokingly shared all the support he has given his co-hosts over the years, be it in their professional or personal lives. So lahat yun, sina Anne, sila Vhong, kahit si Empoy tropa ko yun,” he shared.

The Papa Pogi star also talked about how he helped comedian Empoy get his big break on another network. Ako yung Willie Revillame ng TV5 kung sakali (laughs),” he said.

With the pressure of starring in his first film, Teddy said he has faith it will work out well. Parang, kung may maipagmamalaki ako, siguro yung faith ko with God, make or break with this film, it will remain solid pa rin.

Papa Pogi is directed by Alex Calleja and also stars Donna Cariaga, Myrtle Sarrosa, and comedian Lassi under Regal Films.
