From one empowering woman to another, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was indeed the perfect person to represent the country in an exclusive one-on-one interview with the lead star of the highly-anticipated MCU film Captain Marvel - Brie Larson.

“I was so nervous going into the interview. I didn’t know what to expect. I watched a few interviews of her just so I can get an idea of what it’s gonna be like. But she was very pleasant. She was nice. She even laughed at my silly joke. It was really fun,” she told the press during Marvel Philippines’ special advance special screening of Captain Marvel

Brie Larson, probably familiar with Pia and her advocacies during her stint as Miss Universe, apparently praised the latter and thanked her for everything that she does.

“I was really kilig ‘cause when I did the interview with her and then she was saying goodbye to everyone and she was about to leave, she came back to me, she shook my hand and she said ‘Thank you for everything that you do’ and then sobrang kinilig ako right after that. And I felt wow I really felt like I met a superhero,” she stated.

Sharing her main takeaway from her interview with Brie Larson, Pia stated, “She takes her work very seriously. Like if you ask her kasi about work, seryoso siya. Like she’s very serious about it. If you ask her about the training that she went through for that, you can see - there are even videos about it online that you’ll be able to see how much effort she puts in.”

She then went on, “If you talk to her about women empowerment, she’s very passionate about it as well. So those are the things that I feel are very dear to her heart.”

Coinciding with International Women’s Month, Captain Marvel is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
