Kris Aquino: ‘There is dignity in silence’

TV personality Kris Aquino on Saturday said that she‘s now ready to move on with her life in silence for the peace of her family, particularly of her sons Josh and Bimby.

This, amid the recent tiff involving her former boyfriend and Josh’s father, actor-politician Philip Salvador, whose “naloko” skit together with a senatorial candidate during a campaign sortie went viral for apparently poking fun at Kris.

Hindi kami ang nambastos. Hindi ako ang nanggamit. Hindi ako ang naging iresponsableng magulang,” stated the Queen of All Media on Instagram. “Higit sa lahat, napalaki ko ang aking mga anak na alam nila, THEIR NEEDS COME FIRST... hindi ako kandidato ngayon, at hindi ko ina-ambisyon and 2022... Hangarin ko lang na mabigyan si kuya at si bunso ng mapayapang ngayon at maayos na kinabukasan.”

Sila man ang nag-umpisa, wala akong choice, ako lang ang pwedeng tumapos nito. Because in this instance, PEACE for the 3 of us is what our hearts need most,” she added.

Ever since the act, Kris has been forthcoming with her dismay towards the father of her eldest son for allegedly failing to reach out to Josh afterwards.

It really hurt. The hurt there comes from being made a joke of,” said Kris during a live session. “This is on you, Phillip Salvador. Tatay ka ni Josh.”

Sana naisip mo, that line — ‘Naloko mo si Kris Aquino’ — what does that make of your son? Produkto siya ng panloloko?” she added.

Philip, for his part, neither denied nor confirmed any of Kris’ claims during his talk with ABS-CBN News recently.

She's still the mother of my son. I respect her and I will always respect her for the rest of my life,” was his only statement.

Kris and Philip became an item in 1994 during the making of their film, ‘Nandito Ako’. Their relationship ended in 1999, just a few short years after the TV host-turned-social media personality became pregnant with Josh, whom she would raise as a single mother together with Bimby, her son with basketball player James Yap.
