Jessy Mendiola shares how Luis Manzano taught her how to deal with bashers online.
After almost three years of dating, Jessy Mendiola revealed just how much her life has changed since she started going out with Luis Manzano. At the presscon for her latest Regal Films project Stranded, Jessy did not hesitate to share what her boyfriend has taught her about life. “Luis gave me a different meaning to my life. He made me improve more, he made me want more and also, he taught me not to lose my happiness. Kasi siyempre may ibang tao gusto nilang mag-improve pero puro improvement na lang pero hindi sila masaya. Parang balanse kung sabay. Yun yung natulong niya sa akin. Na it’s okay to want more but you have to be happy and you have to be thankful of what you have. So dun niya nabago yung buhay ko, nabago niya yung napakagulo kong buhay. Naging medyo maayos na,” she said.
The sexy actress said that Luis also helped her keep an always positive outlook in life. “Si Luis he made me question what I was doing with my life a couple of years ago. Parang, ‘Am I really happy doing this or am I okay with this na hanggang dito na lang ako?’ So he made me question myself na kaya ko pa lagpasan kung ano yung meron ako at that time. And I think he changed me for the better. He helped explore new things in my life like pagpasok sa business or pagiging mas open sa mga tao or pagiging mas communicative sa mga tao. Yun yung mas naturo niya sa akin. In short, he made me question my life for the better. He helped me in lots of ways,” she explained.
Aside from teaching her how to be happy, Jessy said Luis also showed her how to deal with bashers online. “Sobrang laki ng natulong niya. Si Luis kasi insensitive sa mga bashing eh. I’m just being honest. Si Luis hindi yun naaapektuhan ng bashing. He’s sobrang wala lang sa kanya. Pina-play time lang niya yung mga bashing and yung mga negativity. Ayaw niya kasi talaga niya yun eh. So pag may nang-ba-bash sa kanya, binabalik lang din niya,” she said.
The couple have both been vocal about the fact that they have already started talking about marriage. Jessy declined to share specific details, but admitted they have already made plans. “Meron na po. It’s just a question of when. Siguro si Luis na lang yung tanungin niyo (laughs),” she added.
Stranded starring Jessy Mendiola and Arjo Atayde opens in cinemas starting April 10 under Regal Films
