For his latest single, Sam Concepcion released his own version of Sarah Geronimo’s ‘Ikot-Ikot’ six years after the song went mainstream.
On Sunday, Viva Records, the official record label of both artists, launched a music video of Sam’s laidback rendition of the 2013 hit, which was a far cry from the original more upbeat take of the song by the Popstar Royalty.
As of writing, the video, which features Sam dancing on the streets of Manila at night, has clocked in over 30,000 views since it was first uploaded on YouTube.
Currently, Sam is in Jakarta, Indonesia to perform alongside Nadine Lustre at the Lazada Super Party, headlined by the ‘IDGAF’ hitmaker Dua Lipa, in celebration of its 7th anniversary.
He’s also gearing up for his upcoming concert with fellow Viva artists Billy Crawford and James Reid, titled ‘The CR3W’, to be held at the Araneta Coliseum on April 4.
