It has been a sentimental morning for actress Sarah Lahbati this Thursday as she marked the first birthday of her second son with fiancé Richard Gutierrez.

In a touching letter she wrote on Instagram just hours ago, the 25-year-old mom reminisced on her second pregnancy with baby Kai, and how it had not been as easy for her in the beginning as it seemed.

It seems like just yesterday, you were in my tummy... I would sing to you songs that would now be your favorites... I had doubts if I could do it all over again... being “a new mom” again seemed daunting. You made your presence known when we would talk and sing to you while you were still in my tummy. You always responded to Mama, Dada, and Zion. From that moment, in those early days before you were born, I already knew how much I loved you. From that moment, I knew I wasn't scared. That I had to protect you no matter what. That I had to do my best for you. That we all had so much love and care to give you. My Kai, you are so resilient, so happy and so joyful. Nothing compares to your smile (bungisngis baby) 😄 I love that we are now a “family of four”. I promise to always bring you to the ocean. 🌊 I love you, bubba Kai!!! Happy birthday, my little one! photos by @bjpascual ✨

“I had doubts if I could do it all over again... being ‘a new mom’ again seemed daunting,” she began.

“[But], you [Kai] made your presence known when we would talk and sing to you while you were still in my tummy. You always responded to Mama, Dada, and Zion. From that moment, in those early days before you were born, I already knew how much I loved you. From that moment, I knew I wasn't scared,” she added.

Sarah is proud to say that she has raised a child who’s “so resilient, so happy, and so joyful.”

“Nothing compares to your smile (bungisngis baby),” she said.

“I love that we are now a ‘family of four’. I promise to always bring you to the ocean. I love you, bubba Kai!!! Happy birthday, my little one,” she added.

Sarah and Richard welcomed their second born last March 21, nearly a year after they announced their engagement during an anniversary trip in Switzerland.

They also have another son, five-year-old Zion, who they introduced to the public in 2014.
