Marking her return to television after more than four years, Kaye Abad did not escape questions about her past - particularly about her ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.

Kaye, who is now based in Cebu with her husband Paul Jake Castillo, got asked whether or not she has already seen John Lloyd, who is rumored to be based there since being in a relationship with actress Ellen Adarna.

"Palagi naman akong nasa labas pero hindi ko pa rin siya nakikita. Ang daming nagtatanong niyan pero hindi pa kami nagkikita rin," she said during the presscon for the upcoming daytime teleserye Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.

"Baka ayaw na ng tadhana na magkita kami kasi maayos na ang mga buhay namin," she added.

While she admitted that her husband Paul Jake is good friends with Ellen, the link between their present partners didn’t give them a chance to cross paths with each other in Cebu.

"Hindi na kami in touch ni Lloydie. Si Ellen and si Paul Jake, friends sila pero hindi naman barkada talaga na like they hang out,’ she stated.

"Kasi may anak na rin siya, kumbaga lahat kami ay may pamilya na," she said, affirming that having built families of their own made it possible for them to focus on each of their personal lives.

"Kasi before pa alam ko na siya 'yung tipong kapag okay na siya, ay okay na siya. Alam niyang hindi ito ang gagawin niyang pangkabuhayan. Kumbaga nakaipon na siya, gagawa siya ng business. Hindi 'yung pag-aartista ang gagawin niyang source of income," she stated.

Kaye Abad and John Lloyd Cruz have become one of the most successful love teams of their generation, working together on several projects including teen drama series Tabing Ilog which lasted for five years.
