Filmmaker Irene Villamor extended her gratitude towards actors Dingdong Dantes and Mercedes Cabral for their participation in her latest film ‘Ulan’.
#UlanOfficialPoster ‘really appreciate all the reactions to the posters, teaser or official... 😊🙏🏼 thank you guys for engaging. ‘hopin’ and wishin’ and crossing my fingers you all watch the movie come show day. all these photos are part of the universe that is ‘ulan’. i am grateful that as a director/writer, i am given the opportunity to have a creative say in everything since day 1 post of ulanmovie ig. this is my first screenplay, nurtured for more than a decade. and the patience and hardwork of everyone involved - from production, post to promo - took 9 months. i couldn’t be any happier to see this movie come alive and hopefully tug in your hearts. ulan is about self-love. but when do we really learn how to love? isn’t it through every little experience in life? paparating na ang ulan. hayaan nating tayo’y basain ng ligaya at pag-ibig ❤️ PS: oh and yes, this is too harlequiny romance no? (wink wink)
Through Instagram last Saturday evening, Irene revealed that Dingdong and Mercedes gave voice to the married tikbalangs that were featured in the flick among its many other mythical characters. She told, “You get by with a little help from friends. Thank you, Sir [Dingdong and Mercedes]. Super kayo!”
Both Irene and Dingdong have previously worked in the 2018 romantic drama ‘Sid & Aya: Not A Love Story’, featuring actress and TV host Anne Curtis under Viva Films.
Meanwhile, Ulan — Irene’s newest romantic film offering with a touch of magic realism and which marks the first-ever pairing of actors Nadine Lustre and Carlo Aquino — has been showing in theaters nationwide since its official release last Wednesday, March 13.
