Eula Valdes says she still bears scars from accident on the set of ‘Neomanila’

During its premiere at the Quezon City International Film Festival two years ago, critics had nothing but praise for Mikhail Red’s urban action thriller Neomanila for which he personally handpicked star Eula Valdes for the role of an assassin. The TBA Studios film finally got its nationwide run this month. Yung paggawa talaga ni Mikhail Red maganda,” Eula shared during Neomanila special screening held last March 14 in Makati city.

With her role as a pest exterminator by day and assassin by night, Eula said it is very timely with the current national issues. Ibang klase yung hugot niya actually eh. Bukod sa ayaw niya yung drugs mismo, meron pang ibang rason kung bakit,” she explained.

Eula admitted she still bears scars from a motorcycle accident in one of her scenes shot in Metro Manila. Totoo. Hinabol ako so sumemplang ako pero okay lang. Hindi ako nakagat ng aso. Territorial yung aso eh.

Neomanila also stars Rocky Salumbides, Jess Mendoza, Ross Pesigan, and Angeli Bayani. Directed by Mikhail Red and produced by TBA Studios and Waning Crescent Arts, it is currently showing in cinemas nationwide
