In an interview with DZMM's Chismax, the singer said that she was elated to see the comedian that time because it has been a while since they have seen each other.

“Ang tagal ko na kasing hindi nakikita si Chokoleit. Nakatrabaho ko kasi siya sa 'Zsazsa Zaturnnah' na movie tapos nagkasama kami ng matagal dahil nag-tour kami with Kuh Ledesma sa US a long, long time ago. Nung nagkita kami kagabi, sobra kaming excited,” she relayed.
She said that Chokoleit even shared good news to her during their conversation. “Sabi niya, ‘Hi Miss Pops, I am in a good place. I’m super okay. I am in a good place.’ Tapos sabi pa niya, ‘Nakaipon na ako.’ Sabi ko, ‘Ang happy ko naman for you," she stated.
Pop noticed then that the comedian immediately sat quietly in a corner. “Actually pagkatapos naming mag-usap, umupo siya kaagad. I thought nagprepre-prepare kasi siya. Pero very quiet siya,” she said.
The singer was shocked that Chokoleit did not make it after he was rushed to the hospital.
"Actually lahat kami we were all shocked. Marami kaming nag-perform, nauna siya. Akala ko nga fake 'yung kuwento. Sabi ko ang sama naman. Para kasing it can’t happen. It was too weird to happen. Lahat yata na-shock sa balita," she said.
