Rita Ora has already witnessed several times how Pinoys slay on stage.
If there’s one thing we can’t lie about from Rita Ora’s first-ever show in Manila, it’s that she exceeded the expectations of her fans and blew them away with her powerful performances of hit songs and of course, lots of new ones from her latest album Phoenix.
Rita Ora, who marks not just her first show in the Philippines but her inaugural visit to the country as well, performed on ASAP with Soul Supreme KZ hours before she set foot at the New Frontier Theater. Plus, she also got to witness other Kapamilya singers sing on the long-running noontime variety show.
The 28-year-old British singer, who has witnessed herself how Pinoys slay on stage through 4th Impact (then 4th Power) when she was still a judge on the X Factor UK, praised Filipino singers at one point during the show.
Sharing that she has had the best time in the Philippines so far, she then added: “I see so many talented people. And you know, I have to say: Some of the best vocalists in the world really come from the Philippines. I don’t know but you guys can sing.”
Overwhelmed by the love and support she got from her fans during the show, she stated: “When I come back, you guys are gonna come back and see me, yeah? We’re family now! And oh, I’ve learned something today. I’m gonna try and say this: Mahal ko kayo! That means I love you, right?”
Rita Ora also reunited with the girls of 4th Impact - who opened for her concert - before she went out on stage and performed a medley of “For You,” “Your Song,” and “Doing It.”
