It was reported that there has been a measles outbreak in the Philippines and that plenty of children aren’t vaccinated yet.
After the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that there has been a measles outbreak in the National Capital Region (NCR) and in Central Luzon, It’s Showtime host Anne Curtis encouraged parents to know the importance of vaccination against diseases such as the measles, which could be deadly.
“This is why it is important to have proper immunization and dealing with the parents and healthcare workers and centers,” Anne said, which was reported by ABS-CBN News.
“It should be a priority because I understand that a lot of children are getting affected by the measles outbreak,” she added.
Anne, who has been actively participating in UNICEF since 2009, was named goodwill ambassador.
