Hashtags member and actor Ronnie Alonte recently underwent an operation for his left knee after suffering an injury.
Actor Ronnie Alonte is currently recovering following a successful operation for his injured knee resulting from a basketball accident in 2018.
In an interview with Star Cinema the prior week, the Hashtags member revealed that he was scheduled for a surgery last Thursday during the ‘Fantastica’ thanksgiving dinner.
"May plano sa akin na ooperahan na tuhod ko this Thursday. Sana maka-recover ako agad. At least sana makalakad ako," he shared. "Dahil kung hindi, baka mag-Valentine's Day kami ni Loisa (Andalio) sa ospital. Kasi nagti-therapy ako niyan."
It was in July last year when Ronnie – a basketball player by hobby – suffered two injuries on his left knee: an Anterior Cruciate Ligament sprain and Medial Collateral Ligament sprain, both of which aren’t uncommon in contact sports such as basketball.
“’Yung injury ko, eh, parang 'yung sa mga rugby players,” he said. “'Yung nakukuha sa sadyang banggaan talaga. So anytime, pwede siyang bumigay nang malala talaga."
Despite this, Ronnie was still able to play in the annual Star Magic Kapamilya Play-offs for Team Daniel [Padilla], as well as the Star Magic Games representing the Dream Team, together with Gerald Anderson and Donny Pangilinan, in January.
