Actress and celebrity mother Marjorie Barretto revealed that she wasn’t a hundred percent in at the thought of her daughter Julia Barretto leaving for an overseas trip.
Last Sunday, the actress took to Instagram to get candid about her feelings of separation anxiety during the days leading to Julia’s current trip abroad.
Julia is the clingy child...since birth... During her debut, I got a choir to sing along with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra the part of a song that goes.. Spread your wings and prepare to fly, for you have become a butterfly Oh, fly abandonedly into the sun If you should return me We truly were meant to be So spread your wings and fly Butterfly I have to admit I was having anxiety during the days she was planning to go to places I have never even heard of,she asked me to go with her, but it was crucial for me to not leave my 4 other kids with so much going on for all of them. But seeing her beautiful photos, and seeing her face more beautiful and mature, I know, as hard it is for me to let go, I know it’s for her BEST. I truly miss you Jul, but my heart is so happy seeing you so free. I can almost hear you exhale. I feel you...❤️
“Julia is the clingy child since birth,” she said. “I have to admit I was having anxiety the days she was planning to go to places I have never even heard of.”
As much as she’d love to accompany Julia – apparently, the young Barretto offered to tag along her mother in this particular trip – Marjorie shared that she had to stay behind to look after her four other kids.
“It was crucial for me to not leave my four other kids with so much going on for all of them,” she said.
However, witnessing her daughter having the best time of her life as she seeks new places, Marjorie said that it was probably for the best that Julia has gone on this journey.
“Seeing her beautiful photos, and seeing her face more beautiful and mature, I know, as hard it is for me to let go, I know it’s for her best,” she said. “I truly miss you Jul, but my heart is so happy seeing you so free. I can almost hear you exhale. I feel you.”
Meanwhile, Julia herself admitted to feeling equal parts excited and nervous as she and her travel companion, Cheryl Pages – Alba, tick off their first two destinations and move onto the next.
“We spent five days in our first destination and spent only two days in our second destination and flying out again tomorrow for another country,” she said through her Instagram Stories this Monday. “As early as now I can already tell that these places will change my life and help me find my peace and serenity.”
“Here’s to the year of getting out of my comfort zone, surrendering, and most of all, living,” she added.
