Karla Estrada reveals she has a Chinese name

During her latest brand endorsement launch, Karla Estrada said she has lots of reasons to feel happy this year. Aside from being the new Lee Kum Kee celebrity ambassador, Karla was also excited about the red carpet premiere of her movie Familia Blondina which was happening within the same day. Wala silang WiFi, wala silang hot water, it’s so funny. Nakakatawa po. Huwag niyo nang panuorin, nakakahiya (laughs). Loko lang,” she shared during the Lee Kum Kee event held last February 26 in Taguig City.

The Magandang Buhay host also shared how she feels how she felt about her latest blessing. I’ve been cooking since I was 12 years old kasabay yun ng when I started singing. I love the TV commercial that we did because it’s very me na habang nagluluto kumakanta. My favorite is the oyster sauce panda brand kasi ginagamit ko sa humba,” she said.

During the presscon, Karla shared her Chinese upbringing. “Wala hong etchos yan kasi I grew up with a stepfather that is Chinese. I’m actually Karla Lim. I studied in a Chinese school, the Sacred Heart School in Tacloban City and my name is Li Mei Lee. That’s my stepfather, siya na yung nagpalaki sa akin and he’s in heaven now, my papa Leo Lim. And the story why I am Karla Ford is a long story. I was studying grade school and high school I was using Karla Lim. So when I found out that I was just adopted and my real father is Ford. That’s why I’m Karla Ford and Daniel is Daniel John Ford,” she explained.
