Despite language and cultural barriers, Fumiya says he considers Yamyam as a real brother.
Fumiya Sankai became emotional after his best friend Yamyam Gucong's departure from the Pinoy Big Brother house on Tuesday, February 27, after failing the "duo challenge." The Japanese housemate expressed his sadness to "Kuya", saying that Yamyam is already like a family to him.
"I am so sad po because Yamyam go outside from this house. Always together ako and Yamyam so he's so important for me. He's my brother. Sometimes I can't understand his translate to me pero I can understand, I don't know why. I felt for the first time these feelings. I feel he's like a real brother, sometimes he is my older brother pero sometimes he's little brother," Fumiya said.
Fumiya added that though there is a language barrier, they really became very close inside the house. "At first we really can't understand each other, language and his culture pero everyday we talk a lot and I felt it's very natural," he stated.
Fumiya remarked that he would continue to fight not only for himself but also for Yamyam's dream. "He is the first challenger. I really respect him and I'm proud of him. He has very strong heart for his family, for his dream. He inspired me and the more I have to fight for not just my dream but for my brother's dream," he stated.
Later in the episode, Big Brother surprised Yamyam by the news that he is not evicted yet but he is nominated for eviction after failing the challenge.
