Confirming his presence was PhilStar’s associate editor and lifestyle editor Millet Mananquil, who attested to the actor’s newfound love for art.
As elusive as he is from the media, actor and now celebrity dad John Lloyd Cruz isn’t afraid to partake in social events every once in a while, particularly when it involves his newfound love for the arts.
Having been more in touch with his creative side since taking an indefinite leave from showbiz over a year ago, it comes as no surprise that the 35-year-old star has graced this year’s Art Fair Philippines held last Friday (to this Sunday) at The Link at Ayala Center in Makati. Attesting to his being an “art lover” was PhilStar’s associate editor and lifestyle editor Millet Mananquil, who happened to have bumped into John Lloyd at the fair.
“Look who’s at the [Art Fair Philippines]! #JohnLloydCruz who loves art. When I introduced Cannes resident #TettaAgustinBaverey to him, she asked: ‘Have you ever been to the Cannes Film Festival?’ To which John Lloyd answered: ‘No, what I’ve attended is the Venice Biennale.’ See, he really is an art lover,” she said.
The last fans have heard about John Lloyd was his Tokyo getaway with girlfriend and mother of his child Ellen Adarna, along with their son Elias Modesto, whom the couple welcomed in June 2018. Together with the three were the rest of the Adarna clan, who recently survived the passing of their patriarch, esteemed businessman Alan Modesto Adarna.
Photos from the trip acquired by entertainment website Pep.ph from an unnamed source showed Elias being carried by his father, while his mother stood beside them all-smiles.
Meanwhile, both John Lloyd and Ellen have yet to show interest in making their showbiz comeback as of writing.
