Manny Pacquiao revealed that he has been discouraging his eldest son Jimuel to enter the world of boxing. This was after his son expressed interest of following in his footsteps as a boxer and make the sports as his professional career.
"Ayaw namin, dini-discourage namin talaga. Sa bahay wala kang makikitang boxing gloves o boxing equipment. Basketball meron, may court kami," Manny said in an interview with ANC's Headstart.
The eight-division title holder even explained to Jimuel that he entered boxing because he needed to support his family that time.
Manny also revealed that his wife Jinkee has already cried a couple of times after Jimuel revealed his intention to join the world of boxing.
But Jimuel has been pretty determined to pursue boxing just like Manny. "Ang sabi niya, 'Daddy, like you, boxing is my passion also. I want to be the representative of this country as an athlete.' Gusto niya talaga eh," Manny shared.
