We’ve seen photos from Dani Barretto and Xavi Panlilio’s lovely engagement over the weekend.
But a full look into the proposal is just what we need to get us into our feels even more.
Thankfully, Nice Print Photography has us covered. On Monday, February 18, the leading photography service has released the official engagement video of the couple, and it was nothing short of magical. The two-minute clip, posted on their YouTube channel NicePrintChannel, featured a first look into what really went down on that day when the lifestyle/travel blogger said yes to her doting beau.
Apparently, Dani was set up for a pretend interview for Meet Me in St. Gallen, a 2018 rom-com film by her best friend Bela Padilla opposite leading man Carlo Aquino. As she sat down for what she was told was a promotional video, Marjorie Barretto’s eldest daughter was clueless that behind the curtains awaited Xavi, along with the rest of their families and closest friends.
Minutes before the actual proposal took place, Xavi, admittedly a bundle of nerves that afternoon, said that it feels surreal thinking that he’s about to pop the question to his lady – something that he has been planning since last year, according to a report from Cosmopolitan Philippines.
“It’s unbelievable, it’s crazy. You [Dani] make me feel scared but excited at the same time, and it’s just unbelievable to think that we’re in the situation now that I’m gonna propose in what… 15 minutes? And you have no clue about what’s happening, but I’m just excited for what today has for us and the future. If you say yes. Well, I hope naman you do, ‘di ba?,” he said.
And she did, but not before Dani was left speechless as Xavi kneeled and held out the beautiful engagement ring in front of her.
“Of course,” was her sure answer to Xavi’s big question.
